Materials

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cardamom, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until you get a smooth batter.
  • Preheat the krumkake iron and lightly grease it.
  • Spoon a tablespoon of the batter onto the iron and close it. Cook until the krumkake turns golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the krumkake from the iron and immediately shape it into a cone using a cone-forming tool or the edge of a cup.
  • Place the cone on a cooling rack to set and cool completely.
