- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cardamom, and baking powder.
Gradually add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until you get a smooth batter.
Preheat the krumkake iron and lightly grease it.
Spoon a tablespoon of the batter onto the iron and close it. Cook until the krumkake turns golden brown.
Carefully remove the krumkake from the iron and immediately shape it into a cone using a cone-forming tool or the edge of a cup.
Place the cone on a cooling rack to set and cool completely.
- If the krumkake hardens too quickly to shape, place it back on the iron for a few seconds to soften it again.
- Experiment with different fillings to add your personal touch to this classic treat.
